Hello all,

Billy and I had some other bear witness last night. Information technology was a lively audience and a lot of fun!!

Anyhow, one of the guests said that she had purchased a 2qt quick stir bullpen a couple of years ago. She thought information technology was different then the one that we were demoing. So here are ii questions...

one) Take the quick stir pitchers been updated recently?
ii) Practice you lot have any tips on how to effectly clean the quick stir pitcher? She complained that she couldn't get the lid and plunger apart which led to the bullpen getting mold spots on it.

Thanks for your assistance!!

The QSP was redesigned in Spring '06.

I've taken the plunger apart in the past on mine - in fact, my one-time one comes apart past itself pretty well. The turbine finish is a pressure fit but I'one thousand non sure it's supposed to come up apart.

Did you check the production intendance surface area in CC?

Edited to add: Never listen. I just did, there's nothing about cleaning on there.

1. Yeah, they were updated S/S 2006. They used to be white & clear, with a different blueprint. Same size & office.

two. I put the lid & plunger autonomously equally all-time equally I tin can, rinse it & put information technology in the pinnacle shelf of my dishwasher.

HTH!

They are not supposed to come apart at all! My flat bottom role came off and I called HO. They said that it is one piece and isn't meant to come apart for cleaning.

Mine don't come up autonomously--I merely pull the plunger abroad from the elevation equally much equally I can so that water & soap can get in there to clean information technology. I didn't mean that information technology really came apart all the way--didn't write that very well!

Well, I hate to admit this, simply when you lot use the QSP, don't pull UP with equally much vigor as yous press DOWN. The not-supposed-to-come-apart plunger comes apart. [Looking down, digs toe in dirt]

Tell yous client to try this (orangish juice tends to mold up pretty speedily) equally I exercise. Put a couple of drops of dishwashing liquid in the bottom and add very warm tap h2o, about half full. Then mix it up like you would Kool-Assistance. It not only gets sudsy but it gets pretty clean.

Interesting points. All I've used it to make so far is Crystal Light ice tea. DH and I keep it full regularly with a rinse in betwixt, then I gauge we don't requite it a chance to mold!

Interesting points. All I've used it to brand so far is Crystal Lite ice tea. DH and I proceed it full regularly with a rinse in between, so I guess we don't give information technology a chance to mold!
Unless you put carbohydrate in the tea, there isn't a lot in at that place to get moldy in a hurry.

The shows I observed my Director doing were:

A party cop was assigned and given a squirt gun, Whatever negativity at all mentioned and she squirted that person.

A cheerleader was assingned and cheered with clappers for whatever was told to cheer for.

There were like 4 different people assigned different duties, besides mentioned at the beginning of the evidence were : Nosotros'RE HERE TO HAVE FUN, ANY Bug, ETC WITH PC--We Can DISCUSS AT THE END ONE ON One.

That usually helps and it's Dandy fun as well.

Maybe the party cop could boo or throw something soft at the negative person! If I went to a party I would be REALLY mad if someone sprayed me with a spray gun no matter what I said! Did they always spray anyone or was information technology simply a threat??

Unless you put sugar in the tea, at that place isn't a lot in there to become moldy in a bustle.

That explains it. Crystal Lite uses a sugar substitute.

Had the aforementioned problem!

Fifty-fifty though I utilise Splenda (no sugar) and clean my pitchers in the dishwasher, they were withal getting gross in some spots. I day I made a new pitcher of tea and after it sabbatum in the refrigerator awhile, it got a horrible taste. I dumped information technology out and soaked all my plungers in some mild bleach water. The side by side batch was peachy and the older white one looked almost new again! Simply brand certain you rinse the plungers actually good to get all the bleach out!

I don't take problems with mold, I have the pink ane and information technology gets this nasty film on information technology all the time, that I just can't seem to get off. Yuck!

Even though I use Splenda (no sugar) and clean my pitchers in the dishwasher, they were still getting gross in some spots. One day I fabricated a new pitcher of tea and after it sat in the fridge awhile, it got a horrible sense of taste. I dumped it out and soaked all my plungers in some balmy bleach water. The next batch was corking and the older white one looked virtually new again! Just make certain you rinse the plungers actually good to go all the bleach out!
I honey the taste of chlorine in the morning. It gives that citric acid a little actress kicking.

Seriously, when I find mold in mine, it's usually up within the lid and on the shaft of the plunger, where drops of orange juice (or whatever is in information technology) have formed and not run off. I seldom get mold on the turbine blades themselves considering they are at residuum in the liquid and (if I remember my high school biology correctly) mold needs oxygen to abound.

I wash my QSP by hand and so I can get to those places with a sponge or dishcloth. Maybe it's just my suspicious mind, but I'm just not convinced that the dishwasher reaches all those nooks and crannies.

I make clean mine in the dishwasher. I accept the strainer off of the lid, pull the handle through the hat about half fashion, so the plunger is seperated, and place the lid on the peak rack of my dishwasher and the strainer in the silverware handbasket. I put the pitcher on the bottom rack of my dishwasher...I practise not employ oestrus to dry my dishes, so it won't melt. When I get a moving-picture show or it starts to look stained, I soak all of the pieces in a niggling bleach water earlier putting them in the dishwasher. We beverage a lot of tea at our firm and things tin begin to turn brown if you don't watch out. The place I find that there will exist mold is betwixt the strainer and the chapeau.

I got one!!! I have e'er wondered what the bargain is with the Cheese Bistro Ready. Does anyone really sell this? Why is it meliorate than our piddling $8 cheese pocketknife (other than our committee of course). I just want to be set since the cheese board is coming upward as a special soon.

nikkijo
  • #19
I accept the cheese bistro set and I love the knife for the softer cheese. Information technology has holes in information technology so the cheese will not stick to the knife, no matter how soft the cheese is. I haven't used the one for difficult cheese yet. This set also has silicone on the underside of the handle for a more comfy grip. I also don't have the $8 cheese knife.

Hope This Helps

That is helpful. I didn't know that the cheese wouldn't stick. It does stick to the other cheese knife.

Maybe call and explain what is happening! That volition salvage you from getting stuck in the email system! I LOVE HO'southward call back system so I don't have to injure my neck waiting on the phone. The hardest role is staying off the phone waiting for the call!
  • #27
Thanks, I keep it in mind if it happens once more. It has already been proccessed though. I think it is simply because in that location has been and then many from one show, must have been a mill defect.
  • #28
thank yous for letting me know that it does stick to the other knife...I did not know that.

The trick with the cheese knife (non in the chophouse fix) is to wet information technology before using. Information technology slices through much easier.

You tin try to use a denture cleaner tablet. You can run water and inch or two in the lesser of the pitcher, drop in a denture cleaner tablet or two (depending on the amount of water) and and so put the plunger in. Let the cleaner piece of work then wash as usual and allow it air dry. It works well on the blade embrace of the Nutrient Chopper too. Just brand sure to launder the pitcher in dishwater subsequently. I oasis't had any trouble with the fizzy tablets damaging whatever of the pieces I have tried information technology on. Get a tablet from a parent or friend that had dentures and give it a try earlier you go out and buy a whole box.

It's a pretty old line. Walt Kelly used something similar in his comic strip, Pogo, many, many years ago. Pogo was a possum that lived in the Ofeefenokee Swamp with a cast of characters, including Porky Pine, a porcupine, cynic and philosopher who ofttimes remarked, "Tin can't take life and so serious when you lot considers the alternative."

This famous phrase, coined past Walt Kelly with apologies to various American naval commanders, was made famous in this strip that appeared on Earth Day in 1971.

No, Jeopardy doesn't work, either. "I'll take Useless Crap for $1,000, Alex."
